Reel Studio is in beta, Studio especially: prices and results may still change as we learn from real edits.
Reel Studio edits reels: you record yourself talking to the camera, upload the video to your PlugKit media library, and ask your assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, through the PlugKit MCP server) to make a reel of it. Captions, cuts, motion design and the final vertical video are produced on PlugKit’s servers.

Two formats: Studio and Express

Studio is the Reel Studio edit: a team of editors, each with its own job, does it for you. Express is the cheaper option: your own assistant does the edit with you, with ready-made animated blocks. You choose for each video, in the conversation: your assistant shows both with their price, starting with the one you used last time (Studio for your first video).

Credits

Reel Studio is paid in video credits, separately from your plan.
  • Included: new accounts get 2 credits, and every month your plan includes 3 (Creator) or 10 (Pro).
  • Where to see them: your balance and history are in Billing › Video credits.
  • Buying: your assistant can give you a checkout link when you run low.
Credits are reserved when a step starts and charged when it succeeds. If a step fails, its credits come back automatically.

What things cost

Studio

You pay for what you ask, for a recording up to 45 seconds:
  • Longer recordings: the edit costs more because there are more scenes to build: ×1.5 from 45 to 90 seconds, ×2 from 90 seconds to 3 minutes.
  • Rounding: prices are rounded up to the half credit.

Express

The derush, cuts and drafts are included (up to 5 drafts and 10 cuts per project). Your assistant tells you the total of what you asked for before it starts.

Changes after delivery

Watched your Studio edit and want changes? Tell your assistant everything you’d like changed, and it sends them as one round:

Quotes: you always know the price first

A Studio edit — and every round of changes — is quoted before anything starts:
  1. Your assistant collects what you want. That’s the level, the openings, the sound effects, or the changes.
  2. It asks PlugKit for the price. PlugKit reads the length of your recording and returns the quote, line by line. Nothing is created or charged at this point.
  3. It tells you the total and asks if that’s OK.
  4. Only after your yes, the edit starts, and exactly that amount is charged — never more.
PlugKit refuses to start a Studio edit without your confirmation of that exact amount: your assistant can’t approve it for you. If you change your mind about what you want, it simply asks for a new quote.
If PlugKit can’t read the length of your recording before the quote (some formats), the price covers up to 45 seconds. A longer recording is stopped before any work is done, the credits come back, and your assistant shows you the new price.
Every Studio edit runs within a fixed budget of work. In the rare case the editors reach it before their final checks, you still get the edit as built, your assistant tells you, and you can ask for a fix.

Limits

Reel Studio makes reels only: vertical videos of 3 minutes at most. Long videos (YouTube videos, podcasts, a long recording edited as a whole) aren’t supported yet. To make a reel from a longer recording, trim the passage you want first — or make one reel per clip. A recording that is too long is refused before anything is charged.
